Manifold Exporter
You should use the Manifold exporter if you can. It will output a file for 3D printing that is a 1-to-1 representation of what you see in the viewport. As the name suggests it will not deal with non-manifold geometry however, so if you are using your own decorations or complex bases it may not work. It is also memory intensive, so may run out of memory on large bases.
As well as the common settings the Manifold exporter has a Final simplification tolerance setting. This reproductions at the end of the export and simplifies the mesh. By default it is set to 0.01, which applies a tiny almost imperceptible simplification to the main mesh, but collapses really dense triangles created by Basemancer when generating the topper. Turning it up will simplifiy the mesh more and more, while trying to preserve the detail. If you are creating a huge base this can be useful to keep file sizes and vertex counts under control.
The simplification algorithm does increase the memory consumption of the exporter as it operates on the whole mesh, so turning it off completely can allow you to export larger meshes at the expnse of large file sizes.
